Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Teen Arts Festival?
A one-day event for teens to showcase their artistic capabilities through a variety of mediums. The festival is an opportunity for students to collaborate with their peers and learn from professionals in the field through student critique and workshops.
Where does the festival take place?
The festival is an indoor-outdoor event. The Levoy Theatre (130 N. High Street Millville, NJ 08332) is the host of the event. Performances and the information center is based out of the Levoy Theatre. Workshops, Pop-up events and the Visual Arts Exhibit will take place in various locations down High Street within a four-block radius.
Can anyone attend the festival?
Students, ages 13-19, are welcome to register as an individual or with their school. Registration and participation in at least one critiqued, “adjudicated,” event is required to participate.
Does it cost anything to register?
Yes, please see the Participation Fee section of the website for further information.
Do I win anything at Teen Arts?
Knowledge, creativity, collaboration, and the opportunity to advance to the NJ State Teen Arts Festival. You may only advance to the State’s Festival if selected at the County level.
What types of workshops do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of workshops in photography, theatre, mixed media, dance, and more. Workshops change every year, this year, all workshops will be pop-up style. No prior sign-up is needed to attend workshops and/or pop-ups at our 2026 Teen Arts Festival.
What can I do if I am in between workshops and performances?
That would be a great time to grab lunch or check out one of the many Pop-up events. Like our workshops this year, pop-up events do not require pre-registration and offer a nice filler for any student in between workshops and adjudicated performances. Our pop-ups offer a wide variety of options, including pottery, painting, chalk art, and more!
What about food?Glad you asked! The festival contracts with local food trucks and the restaurants on High Street to offer $10 Meal Deals for the day’s event. If you have specific dietary concerns or prepaid school lunches, you are welcome to brown bag and sit at any location you find comfortable.
